First Build Computer, Highly compact mini-itx gaming pc 1500$ Budget

Ok, First off I'd like to list my hardware I'm interested in!

For the graphics I'm going with the,

VisionTek 900491 Radeon HD 7970 3GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129204

For the MOBO I'm going with what you'd expect,

ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131840

For the case, as well this is a given,

Bitfenix Prodigy
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=71143#CustomerReviews

For the Memory/RAM,

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231489

OCZ Vertex Plus R2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227812

For the PS,

OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341018

And finally the CPU,

Intel Core i7-3770 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116502
__________________________________________________________

So, what could could be changed, and what would you add? I'm trying to keep this compact. I've been reading that you should spend more on the CPU then the GPU, which I thought the complete opposite. I thought a lot of the game is processed on the GPU now?

  1. first of all, the prodigy is the size of a matx case. not mini at any sort of a imagination.

id personally not get a reference 7970. they are very loud

the deluxe board is kind of overated

you dont need that much ram

it would be dumb to put a non overclocking chip into a overclocking system

there are way better SSDs than the vertex 2

there are way better psus than the modxstream

As stated above, you don't need that much ram. Also don't be fooled by the price on that SSD. I have heard bad things about some Vertex's, specifically that one. Also you may be bottlenecking a bit with that graphics card, but I'll leave that up to you to decide.
