There you go, just as I expected.

Your best bet is to overclock that cpu to around 3-3.4ghz. You can also get a cheap aftermarket cooler like the coolermaster hyper 212 evo for only $30.

not if the airflow is nice and strong and directly towards the components. But are you talking about the cpu fan or just one of the case fans?

Yeah its okay then the case fan in only for maintaining good airflow in the case. Your office fan would do the job here.

what is your motherboard make and model?

well, in that case. You just have to enter bios and find your way to overclock the cpu. Now some motherboards has the option, some don't. I had an old asus p5kpl-cm motherboard and I could only select one of the auto oc profiles(5%,10%,15%,20% and 25%)

I high end motherboard usually has the option of adjusting vcore volts, blck speed and multiplier ratio.

you can use this guide as a reference. Since you most likely have the stock coolers, set the host frequency to no higher than 320.

oh so you have an oem system, I doubt hp will have the option to overclock the cpu at all. They usually restrict stuff like that. Enter the bios and try finding the option anyway.
