Probably not more than like $15 for the CPU. Since every generation of CPU is only a little bit more efficient, if they dropped the price a lot, no one would buy the new ones.

Probably not too much since no new hardware is going to be released in that timeframe. Haswell arrives in June, and the 8000s have been pushed back quite a bit.

So it's in the 15-25$ range?

Probably more so in the 7950 if anything, although they've already dropped quite a bit. Intel just doesn't seem to drop their prices much, probably because they know where they stand as far as processors go.

In My country the price fluctuates way too much. Here A Radeon 7950 Costs 447$ Compared to the 300$ in US.

unlikely you will see any major price drops as they tend to discontinue parts before there price drops. more so with cpu's than gpu's.
shop around is the best bet. you will often find them cheaper due to rebates rather than price drops.

First when the new series launch. Haswell is expected in the summer while the AMD 8000 series just got delayed to Q4. Don't play the waiting game in this situation.

I believe price drops as we used to know them are a thing of the past.
The last big price drop I can remember was when Sapphire bought up a load of cheap 5850 and 5830 parts and sold them off cheap.
The shops will drop prices a little just before a launch to try and shift stock but once the new stuff comes out the prices get pushed straight back up to nearly the same price so that its not worth buying the old stuff, as has already been said.

Mactronix :)
