Harddisk Connected to ATA100 Controller / Case Led

I was juz wondering if the LED lights infront of ya casing light up when the harddisk on the controller card is accesed. As in normal onboard IDE harddisk bus acceses/reads/writes ... the harddisk LED infront of the case normally lights up. What about harddisk which are connected to a seperate controller card, does the case led light up too ?

yes and no. if you have a case that's got 2 HDD_LED, then yes, you can have one going to the mobo and one going to the controller (provided the controller has a LED lead, but most do). or you can disconnect it from the mobo and connect it to the controller (if you only have one connector).
