Hello! :) I have a problem with my digi-pics. Even when the lens
has been recently cleaned, I keep getting these green "spots" that show
up in exactly the same areas on all of my pics. Do I need a new lens?
Possibly a new camera? The camera I have is a Kodak DX3900, 3.1
MegaPixel, that was purcahsed a few years ago.

Thanks very much for all replies. :)

That sounds like "hot pixels" or "stuck pixels". Look it up on Google.
See if the camera has a pixel-remapping facility in the menus (unlikely),
or there may be a low-cost service option.

People would be able to comment better if you could put up a picture from
the camera showing this defect to your Web site.

Sounds like a spot of dust on the CCD. It probably needs to be
cleaned.
I get them every once in a while, but that is with interchangeable
lenses.

Still, over the years I have seen specs show up *inside* lenses.

Thanks much, David. I'll go to google and check out your link, too.
Unfortunately, I don't have a website to show the image of the green
spots. I'll see what I can do at my free Picturetrail account. Thanks
again! :)

Thank you, Roger. I'll check with the camera shop to see if the camera
can be cleaned as I don't have interchangable lenses. :)
