SLI or Crossfire: when 1 GPU won't be enough
Location: Bucharest, Romania

Here it is - the prices are converted in US dollars (1$=3.455 lei):
Mobo: Asrock Z77 EXTREME4 - 199$
Processor: Intel® CoreTM i5 3570K - 304$
HDD: Western Digital Blue, 1TB, 64MB, 7200rpm - 105$
RAM: Dual Channel Corsair 8GB (2 x 4GB), 1600MHz, Vengeance Lp - 62$
Chassis: Antec Three Hundred Two - 102$
PSU: Seasonic S12II-520 Bronze - 102$

GPU: in 4 months i want to buy a ATI Radeon HD 7870 or 7850 (350$ or 310$) if i can raise the money:p

Questions:
1. Can i overclock if i'm using the integrated graphics? And does it have any point to overclock before getting a GPU?
2. What do you think of this rig?
3. Is there any point getting those GPU before a new monitor (current 17" old monitor)?

Thank you!

Everything seems compatible. You've clearly done good research.
You'll have excellent performance with your 17" with either GPU, but you'll get the most of it when you get a 1920x1080p.

@excella i read somewhere that processors that have integrated graphics can not be overclocked while having their integrated graphics enabled. My question was if that information is true. More to the point i want to make use of VirtuMVP once i get discreet card.

@Why_me i think you're tight about the mobo. It sure is cheaper, 71$ cheaper. The differences between the boards are 8+4 (Z77) Power Phase as oposed to 4+1 (Z75) Power Phase - that means no GPU OC and + 1 PCIe 3.0 in the z77. A...plus the gold caps:)). I don't know what to say yet.
But what about the PSU, you linked me the exact same one:p

Thanks for the answers:)

Edit for last post:

"More to the point i want to make use of VirtuMVP once i get discreet card" and still be able to OC.

Power phases don't mean much with these 1155 boards. You can easily hit 4.0 - 4.2Ghz with that board which equals 4.4 - 4.5Ghz with a Sandy Bridge cpu performance wise and not have to add any voltage to it. For a gaming build the Z75 Pro3 would be my choice of those three boards down below.

@Why_Me sound advice, but will it impede a future Crossfire if i go with the Z75 Pro3?
The plan is to get the first card in a few months and then in a year or two to get a second card for Crossfire, thus having good performance for several years without major changes. What cards would you recommend?

Thanks very much for your advice.

For dual cards SLI/Crossfire, then look at the Asrock Z77 extreme4.
