Hi everyone

I recently changed cases for my pc because I needed a better heatsink for my AMD FX-6200 than I could run at the time. It was an mATX cube case so it was impossible. When I tried to move the sticker from one case to another, it obviously didnt stick as well as it did the first time. It had been straightened before on my old case so it looked bad anyway, but the corners dont go down.

Is it possible to get a replacement from AMD? I found my receipt so I have proof of purchase if they need it.

Thanks

More about : amd case sticker

It couldn't hurt emailing their customer service and asking them.

I am amazed at how helpful everyone is on here, even for such an odd request as this.

well it makes a change from the usual

"i have forgotten my password"

or

"i want a free serial for windows"

do the free serial requests not get taken down though, since it is illegal.

Well, I know it's of no help but I'm fairly certain Intel will offer a replacement sticker provided you have proof of owning the chip.

At this point it probably wouldn't hurt to wait for AMD to reply to your query; I'd bet they have a similar policy.

yeah they will get taken down if a moderator sees them

really they need a filter that just blocks posts containing forgot password or free serial

most people just dont bother to read the forum rules

Some younger users might be confused by that.....

confused is fine, offended, well it will be down before you can say ewwwwwww.

(I hope thats enough 'w's to allow me to take it down)

Well you could fine another amusing one just to be 'on the safe side'.

Find another amusing case sticker to be on the safe side.

to get back on topic

looks like amd used to have a page to request free stickers

page is no longer there

but they used to send you not one sticker but a strip of 7

so your email may get you some free ones

good to know there is a chance, it wouldnt be a problem if the stickers dont fold at the slightest oportunity and actually stayed stuck down. The intel ones seem to last forever!
February 9, 2013 8:51:38 PM

to be honest the only sticker i have ever put on my pc is the powered by corsair one

thats really good quality

not just printed its got raised embossing on it and its really thick

but with a £180 psu i would expect a really good sticker

i probably do have some amd stickers somewhere from my graphics cards

but they will be a bit different from the one you want

That metal FX one rocks! I'd get one if I weren't jumping ship when haswell comes out.

Whats AMDs next line of CPUs? Im a university student at Oxford Brookes in the UK, so performance on a budget is priority.

I would assume, it will be a new socket as the AM3/AM3+ is getting on a bit. which would mean a new mobo.

Never mind I just found an article where we were told that the Vishera CPUs would not be the last to use AM3+ so thats good.
