Is getting 16GB of ram with SSD worth???

Hi all,

im trying to configure a system as below;

Quote:
AMD FX-8150
Patriot Pyro 60GB SSD
Patriot Viper Mamba Black DDR3 1866 16GB
Asus Sabertooth 990FX
7970 x 2

I know its a biut of overkill to go over 8GB, but the ram is on crazy sale in where i live,

So my question is,

is it worth to get an SSD for loading OS and configre 4GB of RAM disk for paging file, virtual memory & browser cache?

Would it give faster performance compared to using just SSD??

More about 16gb worth
  1. Hi,

    1- is it worth to get an SSD for loading OS

    yes, you will see a difference

    2- configure 4GB of RAM disk for paging file, virtual memory & browser cache?

    no since you have 16 gb of ram, most program and data will stay in memory and paging file will be used to a minimum:

    but then it depends what programs you use
