The pentium D 925 would work for sure. The 945chipset motherboards were made for pentium D's.. and i see no reason why the E2180 would not work, DO NOT BUY THAT PENTIUM D! They might have more cache and clock speed but that doesn't give them ANY reason to be better than the E2180. Trust me i used a Pentium D 945 3.4GHz until yesterday when i got pissed off with and sent it to be replaced by a REAL dual core.. The e2180 has a bus speed of 800MHz, so does the Pentium D. The e2180 has 1MB of cache while the pentium d houses a 4mb cache which it doesn't even utilize. A quick look on the ark shows: that board can actually take a core 2 duo processor at 1066MHz speed. Not the e8xxx series though. I will say this again DO NOT GET THE PENTIUM D, IT IS NOT A DUAL CORE! with that motherboard you will be able to overclock the e2180 to great speeds (2.6GHz) on stock cooling and voltage alone! and the e2180 consumes less power and doesn't sound like a jet taking off (I've used the pentium d 945 until yesterday, they sound like a plane taking off)

Please trust us people on the forums when we say this. DO NOT GET A PENTIUM D WHEN YOU CAN AFFORD A DUAL CORE. Pentium D's have a way old architecture while the e2180 is based on the core 2 duo architecture that actually makes use of higher clock. The e2180 at stock speed can beat the hell out of the best pentium d out there!
