Hey I just OC'd my AMD sapphire 7850 from the stock 860/1200 to 1100/1350 and didn't touch voltage (the stock voltage is reading at 1210 using GPU tweak) I have seen it lower on other peoples stock clocks so i chose not to mess with that at all. and here is the score page
I am using the basic version and cannot change the settings as far as I'm aware (first time doing this) but you can see all the settings in the link under the settings thing so i wont go into all that.
yeah thats about right I would say, My old gtx 580 used to score in the 6500-7000 zone along with an i5 760 4ghz.
I'd say you still have headroom for overclocking your hd7850 in the 1200mhz with a little bit of voltage tweaking.
Yeah I have yet to mess with anything on my i5 2500k.
You sure it would be okay to boots the voltage up a bit from 1210? (1210 is the default voltage out of the box for my card and it will barely let me increase it more on the tweak software.) Other people have a default voltage of 1100 or so on their 7850 like this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmEkwV7ec0s
Also with the GPU core clock I didn't keep upping it till the card reverted to default settings I just kept going up and decided to stop at 1100. I think i might be able to get a little bit more core mhz without changing the volts. What do you think?
is 1100/1350 the max you can hit with stock voltage? try to push it higher if you can with that voltage.
I did 1230/1425 without increasing voltage and it was stable for a little bit on MSI kombuster GP burn-in 3D API OpenGL2 3D object MSI but then the screen froze so i restarted and it reset to 860/1425. must be to high for that voltage? I was watching the temps and had the fan set to 70% the temps were good in the 65 Celsius so it want from temps.
