I5-3350p with HD 7850 2gb

My build will consist of the i5-3350P and the HD-7850 2GB. I'd like to play games such as Starcraft 2, Total War, Sim City, and maybe one or two first person shooters on my 42" HD TV in 1080P.

This is my first build and I've quite a bit of research into it. Here are the specs: Pls give me some advice, I'd like to stay around the same total price range but am willing to throw in $50 or so more if it will pay out.

HIS Radeon 7850 2 GB - $179
Blue Ray 12X player - 55
CoolMax PSU 750W - 75
OCZ Internal SSD 120GB - 99
Rosewill Case - 45
Asus P8Z77-V LK MOB with UEFI Bios MOB (Open Box item) - 100
G.Skill Ripjaw 2x4GB 1600 (DDR3 12800) - 50
Core i5-3350P - 179
ASUS PCE-N15 wireless adaptor (300mbps) - 27

Total = $840

  1. Personally, I would drop the blue ray drive (or optical drives altogether) and spend the money on a better video card. With the money saved from that + rebate you could get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161404
  2. You don't need the z77 motherboard, specially an open box one, i suggest going with a h77 motherboard, like the asrock h77 pro 4 mvp.
    Also the coolmax psus are rubbish, get a quality psu with less wattage, than a rubbish psu with more, get from brands like corsair, xfx, antec, seasonic, fsp, ocz, pc power and cooling, roswill hive, capstone, fortress series.
    I agree with anxiousinfusion, you don't need the bluray drive, get a drive drive one, with that money shaved, get the 7870 XT(it has more shaders than the standard 7870, it's between a 7870 and a 7950, a "7930") or even the 7950.
