So I built up my PC about a month ago and at first had no problems. However, now, it will not always shut down. When I attempt to shut it down, it closes all programs and goes to the "Shutting Down" screen, but it just won't shut down. Now, this problem is happening 100% of the time, but a majority of the time. Does anyone have any thoughts on what may be causing this or what I can do to fix this?

You don't get a notification of what program is preventing the shutdown? Maybe pop open task manager and watch the programs/services before/while you try to shut down.

If that doesn't make it obvious, you should either use windows (msconfig) or a program like ccleaner, to one by one disable non-windows services running in the background. It's slow, but eventually you will figure out which one is the culprit.

You could also try a system restore to a point before you were having these problems.
