All,
I have a rather odd question.
For over 16 years I have had a full T1 in my home office. That long ago, it was the best high speed we could get. Nowadays it is very slow compared to what is available via cable and or dsl. Not to mention the 500 dollar a month charge for a symmetrical 1.544 nominal connection.
Here is the issue I have.
The company owns the class C address block that all the machines on the LAN reside on. All setup as static. We have 2 domain name servers also on fixed IPs.
I would like to be able to switch to a much faster and cheaper broadband solution since the local loop charge is where all of our monthly dollars go.
the problem is that Time Warner (Cable) will not route our class C and FIOS is not available.
Is there a way that I can make this work? I am afraid I am mostly old school so be gentle!
Thanks,
Rick
