Should I wait?

Hey guys,

I don't know much about computers but I do know they release so much hardware and prices always change, I have a computer ready to build once I buy the parts:

Motherboard: Asus P8B75-V ATX LGA1155 Motherboard (£65.70 @
Memory: Patriot Intel Extreme Master, Limited Ed 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£39.95 @

Mouse: Cooler Master SGM-2001-BLON1 Wired Optical Mouse (£14.35 @ CCL Computers)

(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Anyway, should I wait a little closer to Christmas before I buy or just buy now?

More about should wait
  1. I cannot remember if XFX is reputable for PSU's, wait for someone on here to confirm. Otherwise, it looks pretty good. Only wait till christmas if you think you can get a deal on some of the parts (which may be likely due to holiday sales). I would probably just buy now, your tech is not going to be latest and greatest long, so just go for it and enjoy! You can set yourself up to receive some pretty awesome games for Xmas ;).
  2. If you going wait still Christmas, may want to wait a little longer for the next gen AMD 8000 series video card. And Intel next gen Haswell is around march/june 2013 timeframe.
  3. You know what they said, it outdated once you buy it.
  4. scan have daily deals which involve discounting a ridiculous amount of their stock, so you may want to wait till things come up in that. When I bought my pc from them for example, by buying at a weekend i saved something like £100, a very non trivial amount.
