Cpu help

there is one answer i want to know. right now i have a gigabyte 970a-d3 mobo. and i also have a fx 6100 in it right now and lets say i want to get a fx 6200 would i also need a new mobo or can i use the same motherboard but with a new cpu?

just for future reference, you would go to the manufacturers page for that specific motherboard and reference their cpu support list to see what cpu's are supported.
