I'm going to be building a computer soon, and I hope to make it as good as I possibly can for around $1500 (that's in AUD). Unfortunately I have never built a computer before, so really I have no idea about all the parts and pieces that should normally go in a gaming system.
Here is what I have chosen thus far:
Case: Corsair Vengeance C70 Mid Tower Gaming Case Gunmetal Black $163
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz $234
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H LGA1155 Mainboard $168
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4G) 1600Mhz $99
Graphics Card: Sapphire 3G HD7950OC V2 900MHZ $355
Hard Drive: WD 1TB SATA3 7200rpm 64MB Caviar Blue & Samsung 830 Series 64GB SSD $151
Power Supply: Corsair TX-750M modular 750W $159
Disk Drive: Pioneer DVR-220LBKS DVD-RW $24
Fan Controller: Deepcool RockMaster Fan Control Panel for 5.25" Bay with Card $25
Keyboard + mouse + monitor $239
Total: $1,617
What I'm most concerned about is cooling. The case comes with 3 built in fans, and the CPU also comes with the stock fan, should I invest in a separate heat sink for the CPU? And what about fans?
Do you think the power supply is enough? Also is the graphics card a decent one for gaming?
