What is the best video card to max out guild wars 2.

Budget is max of $350 - really don't want to go this high if i dont have to.

Prefer Nvidia but willing to consider Radeon

Below is my desktop config:

currently running asus z77 sabertooth

2x4gb corsair vengeance

i-5 3570k

corsair tx 750w v2

1TB 7200RPM seagate barracuda hd

Thanks

Assuming it doesn't come out though before the game launch what are other good recommendations?

I've seen anywhere from August 16 to sometime in September for the release date of that card.

the only reason so is because gtx 580s arent in retail for the most part anymore, and nvidia has no other cards in the 300$ until the 660ti's release

I second that, it'll be worth the wait. If the card doesn't come out by game release, then just play with your integrated for the couple days of overlap. Plus, it'll make you appreciate your new card that much more.

That said, depending on what resolution you'll be playing at the 660ti will be a little overkill. But if you have the money spend it!

It may be that the 66ti comes in at 350ish and be within your budget or it could mean that other cards drop in price to make room. I'd think that the 7850-7950 and the gtx 560 ti 488 / 570 would be the most impacted.

I don't think that you need all that much or need to wait to get a good card under 350 for GWs. HD 6950, 7850, gtx 560ti, gtx 480, and other cards in the 200 to 300 range can do just fine.

In terms of value 6950 is a good pick : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

7950 is about the max at your range: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

If you're mainly going to be playing GW2 stick to nvidia as the game has been mentioned to be more optimized for their drivers and they (nvidia) have been rumored to be a little more hands on with GW2 drivers even before its release

Gw2 probably wont require an incredible gpu. If its anything like wow's engine, its going to be more cpu bound.
