I have a ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 and AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ and the current Heatsink I have on it is COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO. Is this one of best Heatsinks out there? My temps are idle at 35c to 40c. I Have taken it off and reapplied thermal paste Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal. When I run Prime95 for atleast 2 hours temp holds around 64 to 71c that just seem old to me. I had a AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition overclocked with stock heatsink and it never ever got that high ever. Any thoughts I really am lost now. As I don't know what will fit and what wont now. Also I am useing Kingston HyperX Part number is KHX1600C9D3K4/16GX. I need all my Ram slots filled its ok if they are covered aslong as my Ram is already fitted in there.

I am only going with air atm. I plan on lil overclocking in near future aslong as I can get these CPU temps down.

Are you comparing two different temps in different cases? Keep in mind airflow and ambient temps make a big difference. Also different CPUs generally operate at different temps, and are affected by overclocking differently too.

Yes I diff cases mobo I know they are diff. But I also gauged my Stock CPU cooler to this one I have on now and it only dropped like 1c which just doesn't seem correct. I Checked bio and updated it. My Mobo is correct on tempature I beleave. Room tempature is around 72 up to 75f so and cpu is at 93F right now(34C) I would like to get it down in the 20s at idle Mind you these temps are with side of case open with case closed temps increase by 5-10C I have 2fans in front 120s and 2 exausts one on top and one in rear.
