Not using GPU off initial boot

Hi,

I'm having a problem with my PC. When I boot up, everything seams to run normally. i hear my fans, i hear the POST beep, and about 30 seconds later, i hear the sounds from my desktop (skype booting, etc). The problem is that nothing shows up on my monitor which is plugged in to the graphic card. When i plug the monitor into the integrated graphics, all is well. A simple restart fixes this problem, but it reoccurs every day.

Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks

Check your bios, you probably need to change a setting so that it'll use your discreet card by default instead of the integrated one.

Disable onboard graphics, set graphics to boot as PEG, reboot. Fixed?
