Yes you will be able to play new games with this build. It would be better if you got a hd 7870 its not much more money and is a good bit better. Either card should last you over a year of gaming with good frame rate.

rather basic explanation, but it is accurate. Of course you will get better longevity with a better card, but that comes at a higher price.
