Rule of Thumb - Take your build cost and then subtract 10% .... then 5% for each month of age for 6 months (60% value at this point) ... then 10% for every 6 months thereafter.

After 1 year - 50% of original cost
After 2 years - 30% of original cost
After 3 years - 10% of original cost

Only 200$ ?

Screen (Iiyama e2473hds) is new and have looong warranty and in shop it costs around 145£ <=> 224$ so i dont think that selling all components for 200$ is a good deal.

You can't compare prices of shops. Those are "brand new" Yours are used. that drops it at least 50% value immediately. Even if you never used it. Just like a new car. As soon as you drive it off the lot. That very instant it looses value. By all means try your best to sell it for more. And great if you do. But good luck ;)

Hmm I dont think so but maybe I'm not right :)  In my opinion it doesnt cut price so much ( maybe 20-30%)

It's not about your opinion. It's a buyers' market.

You can post it on ebay and hope theirs a sucker willing to spend more than it's worth. But if you don't want to get rid of the monitor make the starting bit $75-100 and hope for better (maybe a $200 buy it now option). If I got $150 for selling something like that I'd be more than happy (and a bit surprised too).

If 150-200 is too low for you, think about it this way.

for an average PC consumer, why would they pay over 200 dollars for a used system with nearly 6 year old technology. (I dont know what you "want" for it, but I would guess by your reaction, that you would want double that top end price of 200 other posters in the thread were hinting at.)

When they can go to dell, gateway, hp et al. and get a system (20" LED monitor, mouse KB too) for 500 bucks brand new? With a warranty?

So you have to think about the options available to the consumer, when pricing your system. Think about what you would do? brand new system for 500 with a warranty? or an old system for 200-400 dollars that might break a week later with no recourse?

If I were you I would sell the monitor separately, you are more likely to get more money for the monitor from someone who just wants a monitor, and if the warranty is valid, make that a selling point. Then try to get at least a used sock for the box :wahoo:

But like someone else said, it is the internet, and their are suckers out there :wahoo:
