Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: this week

Budget Range: (e.g.: 300-400) $1000 before mail in, after shipping.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, web, MS office

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg, amazon

Location: City, State/Region, Country - Albuquerque, NM

Parts Preferences: Intel, no real preference between AMD and Nvidia

Overclocking: Yes, a bit

SLI or Crossfire: probably not

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080,

Additional Comments: Prefer non-flashy cases. Only game I'm playing at the moment is Diablo 3, but would like to be able to play new stuff as it comes out without worrying about specs/settings.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Old system is a 3 year old Cyberpower that I will probably move to the living room and use as a secondary PC, hooked up to the tv.

Looks solid, however, I would get an msi 7870 over the HIS. I would also get a vertex 4, samsung 830, or corsair(any corsair, they are all good). Other than that it looks good.

Thanks Zared. The HIS 7870 was chosen mainly because it was on sale, but I do like MSI, so will have to give it some consideration. Similiar situation with the SSD, most of the brands seemed pretty close so I chose based on price. I will swap it out for one of your recommended brands!
