Hi All :hello:

I have been looking for a few months for a sound card under $200 that will suffice for video/sound editing for my home PC.

I don't need a "gaming" sound card, just need options for sound editing.

Any recommendations are welcomed.

Thanks!

If you are talking about editing audio files already on a PC, you don't need a soundcard. If you mean that you need to record some audio however, most consumer soundcards do very poorly in this area (both in terms of inputs and quality). A brand like M-Audio would be more suited for your needs in that case.

Thanks for your input!

Would an M-audio card like the one I mentioned above suffice for beginner needs?
Does it provide descent output to listen to music? Again not for 3D gaming needs. Just for music listening and working on Audio inputs.
