Need help with case and PSU

Hi, I have a little problem deciding which case and PSU to take.

My specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K

Motherboard: Intel ASROCK Z77 PRO3

GPU: GIGA BYTE RADEON HD7970, 3GB, GDDR5, OC

Memory: CRUCIAL BALLISTIX SPORT, 8GB, DDR3, 1600MHZ, CL9, KIT OF 2

Hard Drive: HITACHI 1TB, 7200RPM, 32MB, SATA II, DESKSTAR 7K1000.C

So, my question is, will that all fit in Cooler Master Elite K(night) 280, USB 3.0, Black?

And about PSU is that I have chosen Chieftec 850W, 14cm fan, 80+ Bronze, Nitro 2.

Is that enough to power all components and keep everything cool?

  1. Chieftec is a low end brand; better to get a tier one brand with lower wattage. Look for 35-40 amps per 12v rail instead of just wattage. Provide a vender and budget and I can better advise you; I use newegg. If you can determine who actually manufacturers the chieftec, then it may be fine. Seasonic and ocz make some brands.
  2. +1 for oldies post

i "believe" (not 100%) its CWT and most likely shares their PSH platform (used by thermaltake and corsair)
  4. i dont trust chieftec tbh. i wouldnt risk it
  5. How about CORSAIR 850W, TX850 V2, 14CM FAN, 80+ or THERMALTAKE SMART PSU, 850W, 14CM FAN, 80+ BRONZE?

    Are they any good?

And do I actually need 850W PSU to run all this or 700W is enough?

    Thank you.

the corsair TX650 is more then enough for you, in total system power you won't even break 400w gaming

that is your opinion and you are entitled to it but to state that platform can't deliver its power is inaccurate and naive
  8. no its a fact, its not quality parts. not an opinion a fact. get your stuff straight

the fact is you are a naive fanboy and you just waive the flag of your favorite brand. you lack any knowledge about PSU as proven by your immature posts. the fact is you provide nothing to this forum other then trolling and fanboy flag waving, im done debating with the lowest common form of intelligence on here.

FYI, looking on your PC specs, that exact same wintec platform that you call junk may be in your corsair modular PSU since they use CWT builds in several lines including the PSH platform.
  10. youve been reported for insulting a user and saying untrue facts,

what fanboyism would that be, also my powersupply is made by seasonic, check mate foo.

im stating that chieftec has a limited good quality ps and thats a fact not an opinion, please show me proof of me trolling, ive been here longer and helped more people than you can imagine.

there is nothing else to say here. do not worry this will not be tolerated.

However that being said I agree that there are other stronger brands. Your Corsair, XFX, ANTEC, Seasonic, PC power and Cooling. I feel with some of the weaker brands you have to spend a little more to get there higher end product to get the best solution possible. Either way I haven't seen Ice throw any flags so I don't know where that is from. Either way I would go with a TX650, or a core 650. Best deal right now is the tx. Because essentially its 89.99- 13.35 (15 percent) -20 MIR which = 56.64 and you can add two more dollars back to that if you want your rebate fast processed.

  18. i never said its total junk just i wouldnt recommand it, i know cwt makes some good products and some less. like any company.
  19. Right, its just not something you'd normally choose its like a generic soda its soda but its not the same all the time as the larger branded items.
  20. yep, its like saying i want a good pepsi but instead buy rc cola. it will taste alright but nothing like pepsi :D
  21. plus the rest of your computer has quality written all over it why stop at the psu you know?
  22. yep, i wouldnt feed my cat bad cat food, so same goes for ur pc, feed it good quality energy.

would u eat toxic waste? i think not
