Need help in selecting gpu

Hello,i want to buy amd radeon 7770, but i am not sure if my system is good enough for modern games, following is my system spec:
cpu: intel core 2 quad Q9300 (2.5ghz)
gpu: nvidia 9500 gt(512mb ram)
hard disk:seagate 500 gb
ram: 2gb DDR2 (800mhz)
OS:window 7 (32bit)

so, will upgrading my gpu to 7770 be good enough to play most modern games in high to ultra-high settings

More about need selecting
  1. That can play games on high settings.
Here are some benchmarks of the 7770.

You might want to get some more ram if possible as well.
  2. I would upgrade your RAM as well, as most people use about 8gb and get Windows 7 64bit or stay with 32bit and get 4gb RAM
    GPU is fine
    What is your motherboard?
  3. Well, 4gb ram is enough ram for a gaming computer. 8gb is honestly kind of over kill and is just for longevity at this point.

i have intel DP35DP(media series) motherboard, and also i have heard that windows 7(32bit) only uses 3 gb ram and anything over it would be a waste, is that correct?
