I5 3570k or i7 3770k?

What is better for gaming and editing?

The i5 3570k (3.4)GHz with an amd radeon 7970

Or an i7 3770k (3.)GHz with an amd radeon7950?

Best choice: i5 with the 7970.

but if you need the hyperthreading for heavy editing

then 3770k and overclock the 7950

i have the 7950 sapphire (950mhz) vapor-x and i7-3770k and it's running anything i put on it but, but i think for gaming only i5 with an 7970 is the best choice - but if you are planning on heavy cpu deamandig applications i'll prefer the 3770k.

with that in mind considering the relatively small difference between the 7950 and 7970 i thin 7970 is worth the extra $
