Final check on a new build 1st time attenmpt

Hello guys,

I have spent most of the day assembling (trying) my 1st ever rig. I am pretty certain the OD HDD and SSD are connected properly via a data and power SATA cables each one with the data ones going to the motherboard, and the power from the PSU. Bear with me here...... I'm not so about the front panel wires coming from the case and the other ones too. The case is a corsair 600t and the motherboard is the ASUS P8Z77-pro.

Is there anything I should be wary or aware of before booting up with everything +graphic card for the first time because Ive never done this before and I spent ALOT of money on parts.

Anyone with experience in building rigs please help! :??:

That link you posted looks perfect! Especially the part on step 5 of it showing clear diagrams of how to wire all the cables. Thanks alot :pt1cable:

  4. wait....

connect only the SSD at first boot. that way you wont get windows put onto 2 different drives causing all kinds of trouble. after you installed the OS on the SSD, then connect the hard drive and activate it
  5. So I should disconnect both power AND data cabes from the secondary drive?
  6. just disconnect both of the cables from the hard drive
