Quick Question about compatibility

will that be fine with the gtx 660 ti?

It'll work fine with the graphics card, yes. Do you have a processor yet? If not, you should go for the latest generation of CPUs. X58 is two generations of CPUs and one of motherboards ago right now; the current CPUs that you should almost certainly choose are Ivy Bridge, LGA 1155. Z77 is the way to go.

I do, my old rig used a i7920 and I'd figure I'd keep that, since I hear it OC's well.
ATM it runs 2.6ghz, I figured I can get it to at least 3.4, thus saving me money from buying a new one that's only slightly better.

What do you think?

It's a fine board, but you could certainly find one cheaper.

But I mean, if I were to take that route of sticking with the 920 with that mobo. Would that still pack a punch in today's pc gaming world?
I'm stuck on whether I should go with the mobo or just get a whole new processor with a new mobo.

I think you'd be OK with the 660 Ti. You can survive until your next GPU upgrade with your current CPU.
