Which cpu is better for gaming?

I3 3220 is best 1) new generation cpu and slight faster.2)comes with hd 2500 grahics while 2120 has hd 2000.3)support upto 1600mhz ram while 1333mhz in 2120.4)55w power consumption while 65w with 2120.This clearly shows i3 3220 is better than 2120.

I agree with the two statements above.. What games do you plan on playing? It may help you just to make a slight upgrade on the CPU. i5 2500k? More expensive (220$).

Although I should note the i52500k has less memory bandwidth than the i3 3220. By 4.6gb/s.

Memory bandwith between 1333mhz and 1600mhz have 2% difference in gaming even not noticeble with naked eyes!

Psssh Then I don't know why I am answering your question! Seems like you know more than me anyways! Just saying that it may make the difference if you plan on switching out MOBOs and possibly using Xfire or SLI. Or you know.. go crazy, ditch your case, and turn your PC into a pile of wire, GPUs and watercooling system(s) (the tubing must change colours).

Yes, I love Microcenter. That is where I bought my i5 3570k and board from. The only 2 Intel cpu's I would buy there are an i3 3225 or the i5 3570k due to the motherboard discount.

Go whit a i5 3570k or i7 3770k you pay a bit more but in the end you will have a better cpu
