ATA100 with transfers of 4mb/s

I've got a WD 30gb(WD300B),7200 rpm and ATA100 support.My motherboard supports up to udma66(Gigabyte 6VXC7-4X-P). I can't get transfers greater than aprox. 4mb/s.When booting,BIOS sais that 32 bit is not enabled.Can anyone please help me!

go into your bios.
go to where it detects your drives.
if it doesnt properly, force it into udma 4 or 5 mode.

then upon bootup, enter your windows control panel, then system. then hardware drvices.
check your drives in ther and ALSO the IDE busses that they are fully enabled. for fast writes, write caching, udma enabled etc.
if they are not, enable them and reboot
