New HD 7850 stopped working

Hi everyone,

I recently bought an ASUS HD Radeon 8750, and it worked great for a few weeks. I just came home from work, and my computer was turned off. I tried to turn the computer back on, but my monitor was black - as if no signal was getting to it. After about 30 or 60 seconds, the motherboard made a long beep.

I replaced my video with my old one again, and it's booting fine. Did my new Radeon die or something? What could be the problem?

I am not too experienced with hardware, so I don't know what that means.

More about 7850 stopped working
  1. A common symptom of a defective video card.
  2. That is very unfortunate. I guess it's a good thing I kept my old one, or I would not even be able to access my computer.

I contacted NCIX. I hope they will let me get it replaced soon.
  3. Did you bought it from NCIX.
  4. What power supply do you have and how old is it?
  5. Yes, I bought it from ncix.

I don't know the power supply. I do know there is enough wattage. It's 4-5 years old.
  6. Enough wattage is a claim (sometimes falsely) made by some manufacturers - tell us the make & model please.
