Multiple monitors hookup via S-video>vga converter.

So first time using this forums, and i have no idea if this is in the right place, but I have an hp pavillion entertainment pc dv6449us, and I have already added one monitor using the given vga port, but I want to connect another monitor and the laptop doesn't have another vga port. But it does have an S-video port and I'm wondering if I get an S-video to vga converter if the second external monitor will still work as an extended screen. Keep in mind I'm only fifteen so if this sounds noobish i'm sorry. thanks.

  1. More than likely, you're not going to be able to use the S-Video and VGA ports at the same time. One option would be to go with something like the Matrox DualHead2Go Analog to get the monitor set up you're looking for.
