More about watt needed
  1. 500 watts would suffice nicely.

that powersupply will do fine :)
  2. im not to sure but i think you should get a K model of i5

    im assuming youll be overclocking?

what are you gonna do with the computer?

    at what resolution?

get a seagate hdd...toshibas arent the best
  3. depends if hes overclocking or not.

if he doesnt overclock wont do anything good to him.

    toshiba hard-drives are fine.
  4. well ya...i thoufght so cuz hes getting a aftermarket cooler and a z77 mobo...toshiba is just my personal opinion...i had one fail.
  5. I would go with TX or HX lines of Corsair PSU, CX is really low cost.
600W should be fine for you unless you want to do high overclock and use SLI later.

Corsair TX-650 V2 is only slightly more expensive.
  6. well it depends of his budget. the cx500 will do fine on a budget. and if hes got more a ax or tx or hx line as you said would do good.

Hi - That cx500 is fine for that system. A quality 430w psu would run it, with some headroom.
So, you are giving yourself even more headroom, not a bad thing.

There is also nothing wrong with stepping up from the budget series if you
choose to do so, but it isn't necessary.
  8. yep. i agree.
