Coolermaster 212 hyper EVO plus

How good in Heat dispense will the CM Hyper EVO plus with two Corsair SP 120s fans perform, will it be able to cooldown an AMD FX-6300 @ 4.8GHz or maybe @ 5.0GHz with over 1.55V, How good will this setup be.

  1. you will run into huge problems when trying to push your chip to high OCs using a 212. better to spring for a noctua nh d-14. i offer no guarantees on the stability of your OC and it really is a silicon lottery. that piece of kitt will dissapate heat far better than the evo though. next step up is AIO watercoolers in case you were wondering.
  2. I already have in AIO watercooler but it sucks, its the Antec kuhler H20 620 and when i pick up my volts close to 1.55 it starts to overheat according to Coretemp it hit close to 65c to 68c max and idles around the 50s, i was thinking about the H100 but i just dont think those AIO water coolers even work anyways cuz the concept makes no sense, hot water keeps going around the loop regardless so it stays hot!!! Im going to take my chances with the CM 212 Hyper Evo :bounce: :bounce:

i have a h100i and my temps are always good. the khuler 620 is not very good. is there a reason you need your volts so high? if you are set against the AIO, then i again recommend the noctua nh d-14
  4. A very underated good cpu cooler, that competes well with closed loop coolers... Check out the Enermax ETS-T40-TB CPU Cooler. It's prices at only $35 at newegg.

The reason my Volts are so high is because my FX-6300 @4.8Ghz require more then 1.5 volts to stay stable, its like you said it all depends on the silicon lottery, And my picking was a bad apple LOL, If anything happens at this voltage setting and it blows up then its ony 140 to replace but then again like the new 6350 came out so ill pick that up!!!

BTW Its running on the evo right now and my higest temp is 58c on the evo 212 so it seems good so far, on idle im at 25c most of the time and im at 4.8 GHZ and I love it!!!!
