Hi guys, this is my first build and i've written countless lists of components i'd like to buy only to throw them all away and start over again. So I'm here to ask pick your mighty tech brains. I want to build a htcp with lots of memory, it will probably be on for 8/9 hrs a day for downloading/streaming. As for the gaming side, I love my ps3 too much to abandon it, so it will only be used for light gaming maybe some wow, guild wars 2 etc, I'm not too fused about gorgeous graphics (as of yet) just smooth framerates.
Because I'm on a tight budget, but I want good performance I've opted for the following.

Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1333C9) #45516 £ 25.75 £ 25.75

ASUS DirectCU Radeon HD 7770 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card #50954 £ 74.99 £ 74.99

ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AMD 970A (Socket AM3+) DDR3 PCI-Express ATX Motherboard #51927 £ 54.97 £ 54.97

500W Cooler Master GX Lite 80PLUS Power Supply #50000 £ 28.98 £ 28.98

Cooler Master Silencio 550 Black Midi Tower Soundproof Case #44638 £ 52.50 £ 52.50

1TB Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 3.5" SATA III Hard Drive #48501 £ 44.60 £ 44.60

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 965 Black Edition 125W 3.40GHz C3 (Socket AM3) Processor #38891 £ 53.32 £ 53.32

TP-Link 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter [TL-WN851ND] #30991 £ 11.66 £ 11.66

SONY Optical 24x DVD Writer, AD-5280S-0B, SATA, Black, OEM #46574 £ 10.78 £ 10.78

Basket Total £ 357.55
Delivery Costs:The delivery cost for your order depends on the weight of the order, as well as the delivery destination. More carriage options will be available when you log in.
Approx. Delivery £ 9.74
VAT £ 73.46
Total £440.75

i'm not even sure if all the components are compatible, and I've fallen in love with the case (if you have any other suggestions for a quiet and elegant case please do) also if you think i could save some money by using a different part that would be fantastic this is over my budget so it will be longer for me to get the parts, so any money shaved off without losing performance would be excellent.
Thanks so much guys :)

This is more firepower than you need for an HTPC, but it'll be plenty good for that light gaming, so go ahead.
You definitely don't need 8gb of RAM for an HTPC. 4 is fine. Also, I'd swap the PSU for a 430W Corsair. Otherwise this looks quite good.

Thanks for the feedback, I looked at the 430 corsair and it's more expensive o_O so should i stick with what i have? I'm really trying to cheapen it down. Also the 8gb ram was the same price as the 4gb, so should i just stick with 8gb in case I decide to beef up my pc later on?
thanks
