Memory errors in Nortons

Can anyone tell me if I should even care about this. I just installed 2 generic 256MB pc133 Dimms. No errors in post, but when I run Norton Utilities Memory Diagnostics I get a memory error at a consistent address. If I pull either of the DIMMS the error goes away. I might add that the memory was purchased at Frys and each DIMM is a different noname oem brand. I am thinking that this problem is due to the fact that the memory are different brands??? PC seems to run ok, but need to know what to do here. Anybody seen this before? Thanks in advance !!!!

  1. Norton's Sucks, check this out from the Norton website:
Norton Diagnostics cannot run a memory test on systems having more than 256 MB of memory. This is a limitation of Norton Diagnostics and it is not a problem with your computer's RAM.

We are aware of this limitation and the need to increase the memory capabilities of Norton Diagnostics.
