I was looking at some new games like crysis 3 and bf4 and i was wondering what gpu to get.
I have a raedon hd 6990 4gb and

1. DO i need a another card to run those games at ultra on a 23 inch monitor
2.IF i do which card should i mix with my 6990
3.Can i use 2 cards/ will it make a difference on one screen "room to small to use multiple monitors"
4.Will it fit? i was told i could fit 2 6990 in my case, and i rather get a card less than 500-600 i checked a raedon 6990 is still $1000

Yes it is normal. 6990 has a beastly loud fans and high temperatures (80C is still fine). I don't see any point to upgrade your GPU. Oh yes, what is your processor? Maybe there is a bottleneck so you get lower fps.

You don't need a new Graphics Card for some time. The Radeon HD 6990 contains more than enough GPU Processing power for a while to come being made up of two Radeon 6970 cores.

The 4GB (2GB in Reality per GPU) framebuffer is large enough for resolutions that run on a 23" monitor (1920x1080p generally).

I don't see a reason to upgrade right now. Still way to far away for that.

Well other than the card being a power hog and running hot it's still a beast of a card and unless your really unhappy with it i agree with the others no need to upgrade it yet it still should play most current games on high or ultra settings especially on a 23 inch monitor 1920x1080p.

I play all the games at ultra, but for
d3 - 60fps take of vsync and it lags?
crysis 2 - 50 with vysnc off 50-100fps
heroes of newerth vysnc on - 40-120fps mostly 100fps
bf3 ultra on vsync off - 50 -200fps mostly like 70-100

i was wondering if i have a good card like this why is my fps sometimes so low
is it because the settings are high or is there something i can do to constantly get like 60fps with no dips, and i was wanting to get a arctic cooling for my 6990 but i requires 400watt? i have a 875 does that mean i have to buy another psu to maintain the new cooling and gpu?

Also my frnd is gettin 80-95c when he plays d3 with his gtx 590 i told him to get a new cooler or lower his settings or to clean his case and fan. Is there any other way to stop the overheating.

and i get 75-close to 80c when running full load but my fan is at 80% is that normal for a card like mine. If it is i would not get a new cooling system and i heard running your fan at a high rate might dislodge your screws holding down the gpu
