Both the processors are great . If the prices are same the best buy is an intel i5 3570k as it has much better per core performance. As new games come out , they do favor multiple cores and the amd fx will show better results compared to i5.

If people are having BSOD issues with an FX8350, it is most likely they did something wrong or having issues elsewhere in the system. I have never had a BSOD caused by a CPU unless it was due to a bad overclock setting. The i5 3570k is a great chip and the FX8350 isn't bad either. Go for whichever one you can get the best deal on for CPU and Motherboard and used the money saved, not buying the more expensive setup, and spend it on a better GPU.
