Shutting down when running games?

Hi I just installed a new Antec VP-450 450W ATX 12V v2.3 Power Supply and a Nvidia 9800 GT. I've tried on 2 occasions to launch TFT 2 and Payday: The Heist. I can launch them but once I join a game or start a game my computer proceeds to either lag/freeze and occasionally my monitor doesn't detect any input. Can someone help me? I was running LoL fine for about 3 hours and some Diablo 3 earlier

More about shutting running games
  1. It seems it shutsdown whenever I go to the options of the game?
  2. Run memtest. You can download it from www.memtest.org

Make sure wait for at least 4 passes.
  3. may be the power supply. looking at the power needs for the 9800 looks like nvidia wanted people to use a power supply with a 26amp rail. to see if it a power supply issue or a game issue..try runnig some bechmarks for gpus and see fi the error happens.
if it does i would try swaping the power supply out for a better unit.
  4. It can't really be the power supply, Antec makes very nice power supplies and 9800 GT isn't a power hog.

This chart is for the whole system:

OP: Did you connect the auxilary power connectors from the power supply to the graphics card?

Wait I have to download :
Download - Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)
Download - Pre-Compiled Bootable Binary (.zip)
Download - Auto-installer for USB Key (Win 9x/2k/xp/7) *NEW!*
Download - Pre-Compiled package for Floppy (DOS - Win)
    ?
  7. Auto installer is most convenient.
