Upgrading HD 5750

Hello,

Im planning to upgrade my ASUS HD 5750.

My current system config:-
AMD PhenomII X6 2.8Ghz
6GB RAM
600W Huntkey PSU
18.5" Acer Monitor (1366 X 768 max resolution).

I need a card which satisfies the below requirements:-
1. Must last for atleast the next 2 yrs.
2. Budget 15000INR (300 USD)
3. Atleast 40+ fps in all games.

The idea to upgrade got into me since I started playing Arkham City and noticed that I'm getting 12-13fps average. Although Battlefield 3 runs smooth in high settings at 40+ fps. I mostly play at 1366X768 resolutions.

Pls suggest me a good card.
I'm really confused between the HD6870 and GTX 560 Ti.
Or else should I wait for GTX 660 to launch?

Thanks in advance.... :)

  1. Wait for 660Ti to come out.I think it will be perfect at function/price

The GTX 660 Ti is suppose to be around $300 (USD) and the GTX 660 non Ti is around $260 (USD) But I will give you a look at a bench mark of the 6870 vs the 556 Ti so you can see for your self.

Also the AMD drivers that just came out are helping the AMD cards to work better I know that to be true on the 7xxx series but don't know for sure on the 6xxx series. Good luck to you.

  3. I agree with the above...the GTX660Ti is around the corner, and supposedly Best Buy has begun selling them a little early

I don't know how accurate this information is, but at $300, it's a killer card.
  4. Thanks all...
I agree that 660Ti will be undoubtedly the best... But suppose it doesn't fall in my budget... which one among 560Ti and 6870 will be the best for me, considering it will work out for another 2 years????

If I had to choose, I'd go for the 560ti and I would overclock it in the near future if it can't keep up!

Between those two cards, I would agree with maxh22 with the recommendation of a GTX560 Ti. It's the beefier of the two cards and it should be able to play games on decent settings for the next few years.
