hello
i have asus p5kpl am motherboard and there is always a cross mark in volume icon in toolbar
I tried and downloaded all possible audio drivers for it but still there is no sound so my assumption is that my motherboard sound card is damaged.So i bought a new USB Sound Card.
Now I am running Windows 8 snd when i instered that usb sound card in my system nothing no new hardware was found and there is still cross sign in volume icon.

and i am using usb mouse from the same company and its just working well
