US Nokia 6600 & UK charger

My fiancee has brought her US Nokia 6600 over to the UK.

Am I able to use the UK charger with her phone?. On the surface it seems the
output on my UK charger matches what the US mobile is expecting.

Any help gratefully received

No the US charger was left behind, as you rightly say you can't use a mains
device without the respective step up / set down.

However I was working on the assumption that a charger would be only output
the current the phone needs. Given both my finacees and my phone appear to
need the same voltage, I was proposing to charge her US phone but use the UK
charger. (I'm in the UK by the way)

Obviously if its a boom situation, then its a new phone methinks. Er without
having to go through the boom bit!

It's unlikely to go "BOOM"... The charger will probably just get a bit warm,
and probably output a higher DC voltage than it's supposed to unless its a
regulated output. You will probably find that the chargers are universal
travel chargers. There's many reasons for this, one being economies of scale
in producing one charger for everywhere.

Just ask Nokia for crying out loud...
