Is it believeable?

i saw the wattage usage of radeon hd 7750 1gb ddr5 and saw that it uses only 55 watts but has better performance than raedon hd 6750 1gb ddr5.how is it possible?i mean how can a graphics card use less power and give better performance?

  1. Its not lyk this, the build of new graphic cards are less energy consuming especiallt the 7750 and 7770. they have been made like that. Older cards like 9800 GT used to consume lots of power but are still no better than 7750 and 7770 so power and performance have no links. Its the graphic card that matters.

    i am going to buy that sapphire radeon hd 7750 1gb ddr5 for 7900 rupess.is 180 watt power supply is sufficient for 7750?

    You would be pushing it, so Im going to say no. I had a similar setup in an HTPC a while ago and it was peaking just above 190W so it would probably be too risky. Get yourself a 300W minimum.
