This problem has just appeared for me about 3 days ago and I'm running out of ideas on what to look for and change to fix this problem besides just re installing a fresh copy of Windows. I first noticed it when Xfire was first loading during boot up goes through its same routine " Detecting installed games" and usually it does it pretty fast but now it just hangs there. In addition the Network Icon has the blue loading icon again this would load pretty quickly but now it will stay like that along with Xfire still detecting for installed games for about a minute and a half then everything's working fine. Also if I try to load programs as the computer is still booting ( Steam, core temp, GPU-Z etc,.. all manually loaded by the way) some of them load and some don't until that minute and a half are up. I can also open Chrome and I can get on the internet while the network Icon is still loading. I decided to do a AS SSD benchmark my write speeds were terrible 20mb/s and access time was pretty high. I remedied this by updating the Chipset drivers and I get the factory rated numbers but I did notice my drives show up as SCSI drives now. I honestly don't know what I changed or did for it to do this. This last week I haven't been on my usual routine of being at the computer when it boots up but rather I just hit the start button and walk away and come back at a later time.
Things I've done:
Updated chipset drivers
Update LAN drivers
Disabled Xfire to start when computer boots
Uninstalled AI Suite
Uninstalled and re-installed Intel RST
Using a Samsung 830 128gb as a boot drive running Firmware CXM03B1Q and a WD Black 1TB as a storage drive. Rest of my System is in my Sig below.
Any insight/help on what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated.
