Computer will not turn on after shutdown button flashes

I shut down my computer because a storm was coming. I shut it down normally from the start menu. Later I tried to turn it back on and it would not turn on, the button just flashed once. I have unplugged it hoping it would reset and that did not work. I have not had any problems with it other than this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
