Hey guys.

I have ordered a new a Gigabyte HD 7750 OC edition for my little sister so she can get rid of her old power hungry 9600 GT. She has a Gigabyte motherboard with PCI-E 1.1, I know that bandwith wise there will no issues or bottlenecks with the HD 7750, but I am worried about the power needed for the OC edition of the HD 7750 which has a 80 mhz overclock over the standard 800 mhz. My question will the 880 mhz HD 7750 1 GB GDDR drain more than 75 watts from the PCI-E 1.1, as 75 watts is all it can give?

I have contacted Gigabyte support three days ago, but they haven't replied so I am asking around these forums because I know someone has better insight in the HD 7750 than I do.

Thank you for your time.

Very interesting! Thank you for the quick response. I was worried especially since AMD is putting out their 900 mhz model which has a TDP of 83 watts. And I wouldn't be worried if had ordered that one since it has an external power connector and the Corsair CX600 in my sister's rig would easily support it.
