your graphics card is terrible.. especially at those resolutions.. buy a new graphics card. your 3570k is just fine.

imagine this, you have a car with very powerful engine, but crap transmission, crappy frame, old/ruined tires, its aerodynamic as a brick = it wont perform as good as it could

Are you using the latest Passmark or running the full test? 7000 would place you in the top 5 Passmark system scores, and even with my i7-3770k highly overclocked I can barely reach up to 6000.

Minecraft doesn't require too much GPU or CPU power, but the HD 5450 is quite horrible as far as gaming goes. Hopefully, you can get that next card soon.

The passmark result was referencing soley the cpu result lol Should have specified. But, I did not think my gpu wuld be that important in minecraft... I just got the card to connect my monitor to until I can get my hands on some titans figuring i could entertain myself with minecraft for the time in between. But the problem is really just the gpu? Is that passmark score okay (its only the cpu score).

Minecraft is RIDICULOUSLY gpu intensive. It really takes very little out of the CPU under normal circumstances (Unless an admin spawns 300 bats in a closed room that you are in) I think your CPU is just fine.

If you're looking for a cheap card to boost performance, maybe a radeon 7770. If you don't have an extra 6-pin vga power cable, or don't want to have to use one, the radeon 7750 is also very nice, and needs no additional power cable. Those cards range from $80 - 110.

Your card is SEVERELY bottlenecking you CPU. Get a better card and the problems should go away. Get a radeon 7850 atleast and they can be found for around $160 these days.

You are completely wrong, I suggest you do your research properly.
Minecraft barely uses any GPU at all, it is extremely CPU intensive, but limited to only one core. If you have a shitty i7 or something, you could misstake it for not using CPU because it will show as 13% CPU usage, while infact your CPU is what is slowing it down.

@mike88931 The HD 5450 is terrible, and should not at all be used with your resolution.

I know my card is bad i just needed to have a dvi port since my high end mobo does not (stupid they probably assume anyone with it is going to have a discrete card) I am waiting for the titans to come out then i will buy those. But, is my gpu really bottlenecking my cpu so much? I know it is better than integrated and I would think even integrated would be enough to run minecraft with acceptable frames =/ Are you guys sure the gpu is the issue?
