Looks as if it overheats or so.
Box is a MSI notebook with w7/64bit and onboard gbit lan using realtek 8111. Connected to Synology 411slim via GBit switch TRENDNET 5 port. Tried both autoneg and fixed 1000/fd, but the effect is always the same: after some 20 to 50 MB copied I get the message "Cable disconnected". Recover is to deactivate / reactivate the adapter, but the copy process is crapped of course. Tried all new drivers since May or so (last one was version 7048 from Sept 16,2011), but no vail.
All works nice when using 100MBit, but this is NOT what I have GBit for.
Any ideas are welcome, even if this would mean to propose a working expresscard solution.
