GT 220 Keeps crashing

I'm having an issue with this card causing my Nvidia drivers to crash repeatedly (even when doing menial tasks, like browsing eBay). Any suggestions/pointers?

They were at 65C, I cleaned it with compressed air and they dropped by about 20, but It continued to crash. I also downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia, but they crashed, too.

I didn't try running it when it was apart. I don't imagine that would improve anything.
  5. What card did you have before this one? Did it use to crash with it?

I've had this card for as long as I've had this computer. It has a Core 2 Quad if that gives you any idea of how old it is. Recently, I transferred it into a new case with a new power supply. I also tried another GT 220 in my computer, and It worked just fine.

It really seems like the card is dying if other card works in the same PC. Unfortunately, if the warranty period is over, you have nothing else to do but to get another card.

Should I try new thermal paste?
  9. You could, but I doubt it would solve anything because temperatures are in order.

Okay. Thanks for the advice. Would this be a good replacement?

  11. Yes, it's just a bit faster than GT 220!
