I just installed Mandrake 8.1, and it did a very good job of auto-detecting all of my hardware. Unfortunately, I didn't have my zip drive connected when I installed it. So what do I need to do to get access to it?

Every time HardDrake runs, it gives me a blank screen and I have to ctrl-alt-del to get out.

Did you let HardDrake run for a while?

It was disconcerting the first time I tried it, because the mouse stops moving and it looks like your computer crashed, but in about 15 seconds the mouse is detected, along with the rest of your system...Are you having this problem?

If this doesn't help, try the HOWTO on Linux+zip drives.
